The Knitting Lady

WELCOME

tt04Welcome to The Knitting Lady - a site dedicated to providing resources for all your miniature and small knitting needs.

Although I have been a 'full size' knitter for over 20 years I became interested in miniature knitting in 2000. Initially I knitted outfits for the family in my dolls house but they soon had more outfits than they could possibly wear. With the support of Lin from Wicor Models in Portchester, Portsmouth I decided to attend some local Dolls House Fairs and was really pleased with the welcome I received. heidi ott toddler

The ranges I stock just seem to keep on growning and I am constantly adding new items. This year, 2009, sees the introduction of knitting patterns, yarns etc for those who like knitting for small dolls. It is early days yet and I am always on the look out for new resources so please do keep coming back to see what is available.

You may have seen some of my knitting patterns that have been published in the 3 UK Dollshouse Magazines - I have been very lucky with the support that they and the show organisers have given me. There are a couple of patterns which have yet to be published in Dolls House and Miniature Scene- long gowns for a Heidi Ott baby and a short dress for a porcelain baby. I will try to post details when I know they are due for publication.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any special requests or queries. I will always do my best to help with any questions you may have.
